Lease End Timeline Lease Return Option Lease Trade-In Value Your Trade

As you close in on your lease end date you have several options for your lease end process, one of these options is to return your leased vehicle to Larry H. Miller Super Ford Salt Lake City. There are several steps and things to know before returning your leased Ford, becoming aware of any Excess Wear and Use items, scheduling your end-of-lesase vehicle inspection, and what to bring to your vehicle return appointment.

Excess Wear and Use

Before you return your vehicle, its overall condition will be evaluated to determine if there are any Exces (or chargeable) Wear and Use. Understanding your vehicle's condition and any Excess Wear and Use provides you the opportunity to avoid any Excess Wear and Use charges that will be billed after the return of your vehicle. THis also allows you to decided to make any repairs prior to returning your vehicle.

Your Vehicle Inspection is conducted near the end of your Ford lease. This inspection provides information on the condition of your vehicle and any Excess Wear and Use charges you may recieve after your lease. Having this inspection performed early will allow time to schedule any repairs and avoid any excess wear and use charges.

Why is the Inspection Important?

The vehicle inspection provides detailed information about the condition of your vehicle, including an assessment of any Excess Wear and Use items you may be charged for. Understanding this assessment before your lease-end allows time to process claims for damage covered under your insurance policy or make any other needed repairs before returning your vehicle.

Regardless of whether you plan to have any repairs done, you will be aware of your vehicle's assessed Excess Wear and Use.

How is Your Vehicle Inspection Scheduled?

Approximately 35-45 days before your lease is scheduld to end, you will be contacted by a Vehicle Inspection Company (the inspection company used by Ford Credit is Alliance Inspection Management or AiM). You can arrange a date and location that best suits you, such as your home of office. We recommend scheduling your inspection at your earliest opportunity to ensure time for any necissary repairs identified in the inspection, if you choose to have any repairs made.

What to Expect and How to Prepare for the Inspection

Before the Vehicle Inspection
Gather all items that came with the vehicle (see check list below). Clean your vehicle and remove any loose items and children's car seats. The inspector cannot remove items and needs to move freely during the inspection process.
Upon arrival, inspectors will identify themselves with their company ID and request the vehicle's keys in order to perform the inspection.
We encourage you to take part in the inspections process, if possible.
During the Inspection
Inspections typically take 30 minutes. During this time your vehicle's interior, exterior, components and electromechanical functions will be checked.
After Inspection
When complete, you will receive a Vehicle Condition Report detailing any identified Excess Wear and Use.
